Who can access Youth Worker Support?

Children, young people and young adults, aged 8 – 25, who have a connection to the City of Monash.  MYS prioritises an inclusive and accepting environment for all genders, abilities, races, religions, sexualities and cultures.

What is Youth Worker Support?

We offer free, safe and confidential support sessions, information and supported referral.  Our Youth Workers provide up to 10 sessions working alongside the client towards their specific practical goals.

What can I talk to a Youth Worker about?

  • Feeling stressed, worried, sad, or lonely
  • Challenges with school, study, or routine
  • Wanting to increase self-esteem or confidence
  • Difficulties with relationships at home, school or work
  • Financial, housing or employment challenges
  • Exploring identity
  • Managing emotions
  • Sexual health and relationships
  • Worries about their own, or someone else’s drug or alcohol use

How do I make a referral?

Complete this brief Expression of Interest Form, email us directly at youth@monash.vic.gov.au, call us on 9518 3900 or visit in person at Level 1, 2 Euneva Avenue, Glen Waverley, Monday – Friday; 10:00am to 5:00pm.  

One of Youth Workers will contact you back to further discuss how we can be of support.  Anyone is welcome to make a referral for Youth Worker Support, if the client is consenting to their information being shared as part of the referral process.
