MYzone

MYzone is a free weekly program for children and young people in the Middle Years (aged 8 -13) who live, study or play in the City of Monash.
It runs every week during school terms and offers children and young people the opportunity to engage in different activities each week. MYzone provides a social space that is supportive, supervised, and safe where they can have fun, learn and practice new skills, and meet new people. Light snacks are also provided.
The MYzone program is led by professional workers who specialise in working with children in the Middle Years. Workers facilitate an inclusive and friendly environment that supports childhood and adolescent development.
Where does MYzone happen?
Southern Community Centre, 27 Rupert Drive, Mulgrave.
When does MYzone happen?
Thursdays from 4pm to 6pm (except on public holidays and school holidays).
Why did it come about?
Monash Youth Services have an ongoing commitment to the children and young people in the City of Monash. We acknowledge there is an opportunity within the Middle Years to engage children and young people and support their social and emotional development. Our activities are developed with the input and interests of the participants who attend the program.
The MYzone program is an adaption of a similar program run by Monash Youth Services called Activate which is for young people aged 11-15 years.
