Describe the personality or look of your tree.

My tree is old but sturdy, and holds many memories in its many branches. Although it no longer has the low hanging branches that used to hold half a dozen adventurous children at any one time, the tree is still warm, friendly and approachable.

Why is this tree important to you?

This tree is important to me because it's one of the most defining trees in my childhood. My family friends and I used to ride our bikes and scooters from their house to the park, and spend hours climbing the tree and playing on the playground nearby. The area holds a lot of very fond memories from my childhood.

What does a sustainable future look like in Monash?

A sustainable future in Monash looks like an aware community of people who actively work towards sustaining and looking after the area.

What are you doing right now to create that future?

To create that future, I am involved in community efforts to try and improve our environment. At home, my family tries to do small things to help the planet, like recycling plastics at supermarkets and food scraps in the kitchen caddy.

 Where is your tree located?

My tree is located at WA Scammell Reserve, near Guest Road.
