On Wednesday 21 September, Quiksound Productions and Monash Youth Services hosted the Monash Youth Film Festival 2022 at Village Cinemas, Glen Waverley.

225 people attended the sold-out cinema, to watch 15 short films created by Monash young film makers.

Attendees were treated to a range of genres of film including animation, romance, comedy, drama and action.

This year, our judging panel and attending audience agreed that Comedy is what people are looking for in a film in 2022 with “Adverse Advertising” by 18-year-old Daniel Cookson from Huntingtower Secondary College winning Best Film and “Jerry McBobbin: Serious or Delirious?” by 17-year-old Mason lucky Montalbano from Brentwood Secondary College being voted as the Audience Choice Prize winner.

Quiksound Productions and Monash Youth Services would like to thank and congratulate everyone who submitted a film and was involved in the filmmaking processes.
