As part of the YouthFest 2022 celebrations, Monash Youth Services hosted the Monash Youth Big Debate podcast. Two teams made up of young people from City of Monash debated whether homework should be banned for high school students. In preparation for the debate, both teams were mentored by members of the Monash Association of Debaters, Monash University’s debate team and the largest and most successful debating society in the Southern hemisphere. Both teams debated passionately and eloquently, discussing many intriguing ideas about education and it’s delivery methods.
