In order to be able to best monitor and support the wellbeing of participants, Mental Health First Aid is strictly face to face courses. Mental Health First Aid Australia will not endorse these courses facilitated online. So as a result of Covid-19 social distancing restrictions, all courses are currently on hold and will resume as soon as it is deemed safe to do so in person.
In 2018 the Rotary Club of Glen Waverley provided financial support that enabled the City of Monash Youth Services (MYS) team to deliver Mental Health First Aid training to staff, students and parents of 2 local secondary schools.
In an ongoing partnership, the Rotary Club of Glen Waverley and MYS jointly applied for and were successful in the Victorian Government initiative Pick My Project.
The funding received through Pick My Project enables the delivery of Mental Health First Aid training to secondary schools and the wider community of Monash in 2019/2020.
